The infamous Victorian Bushfires in February changed the lives of countless communities throughout the state, including Victoria`s netball family. In the aftermath of Australia`s worst bushfire disaster, the netball community showed an incredible outpouring of support and generosity for those who had lost so much. See the NV Donor List
In recognition of the importance of sport and community in disastrous times, Netball Victoria has shown their support by providing members of Associations / Clubs that have been affected by the bushfires, with the opportunity to participate in the Netball Victoria Bushfire Appeal Net Recovery on Sunday 31st May 2009.
In recognition of the importance of sport and community in disastrous times, Netball Victoria has shown their support by providing members of Associations / Clubs that have been affected by the bushfires, with the opportunity to participate in the Netball Victoria Bushfire Appeal Net Recovery on Sunday 31st May 2009.
Communities affected by the bushfires have been invited to attend a day of fun and activity, including junior coaching clinics and watching the state`s best netballers in action at the Melbourne Vixens v Queensland Firebirds Round 9 ANZ Championship match at Hisense Arena, culminating in an opportunity to meet the Vixens at the post match function.
Various donation activities will be set up at the match, which provides a great opportunity for netball supporters to continue their overwhelming support.
