Vixens face biggest test yet
by Netball Australia
Melbourne Vixens face their biggest test of the season so far when they take on Colourplus Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic in New Zealand in Round 10 ANZ Championship action.
The Vixens sit undefeated at the top of the ladder and despite close scrapes in recent weeks have been the competition leaders all season.
Should the Vixens win on Monday night they will be two games clear on the top of the ladder and with four ANZ Championship rounds remaining are in a commanding position to claim the minor premiership.
A win for Magic, currently in second spot, will put them on equal points with the Vixens and make their quest to finish the season on top for the second year running a real possibility.
Vixens will be hoping their key defender and co-captain Bianca Chatfield will be fully recovered from the knee twinge that sidelined her for the Queensland Firebirds match last weekend.
If the experienced defender returns, her battle with Magic goal shooter Irene van Dyk is sure to keep fans entertained on both side of the Tasman.
