After 17 weeks of thrilling on-court action and off-court success the ANZ Championship will celebrate its
With over 9000 tickets already sold and less than 500 remaining, Championship organizers are confident
of a packed Hisense Arena for the Melbourne Vixens and Adelaide Thunderbirds Grand Final.
ANZ Championship General Manager, Anthony Everard said, “The ANZ Championship Grand Final will be
a fitting finale to a highly successful season. All year we have seen fans come out in their thousands to
support their teams, and to have a packed house in Melbourne will create a brilliant atmosphere for the
two competing teams”.
In addition to witnessing the two best club netball teams in the world going head to head, those lucky
enough to have a ticket to the match will experience some of Australia’s hottest music talent.
Thanks to the support of ANZ, singing sensation Jessica Mauboy will be performing pre-match. Jade
MacRae will also be performing a song, and singing the National Anthem.
Fans are encouraged to arrive at the venue early so they catch all the pre-game entertainment. Gates
open at 12.30pm.
Melbournians will be coming out in force to support the Vixens in their quest for Premiership glory, with
Victorian Premier the Hon. John Brumby tossing the coin before the game.
For those that can’t make it to the match, all the action will be available on Channel Ten and ONE with
the Network Ten broadcasting the Grand Final to all states and territories. For NZ fans, the action will be
live on SKY Sport.
Network Ten will be televising the match LIVE on the network’s 24-hour sports channel ONE nationally
(AEST2.00pm, 12.00pm Perth, 1.30pm Adelaide), in addition to a broadcast on TEN live in the Eastern
States, and delayed in Perth and Adelaide (Note: Perth & Adelaide on TEN at 2.00pm local time).
The Network is delighted to be showcasing the Grand Final with an exclusive 3-hour broadcast on both
ONE and TEN.
ONE Programming Manager Gus Seebeck said, “The ANZ Championship has attracted an ever increasing
audience in Australia since we began televising the game on free-to-air TV and we believe that
extending our coverage on ONE and TEN will provide a more exciting broadcast to our viewers.”
