‘Go For Your Life’ Vixens School Holiday Clinics
The ever popular clinics are on again in 2010! Following the successful State Netball Hockey Centre clinics in 2009, the Vixens will also hit the road for clinics this year at Altona Sports Centre and Waverley Netball Centre.
The clinics are always extremely popular with children able to receive coaching tips from the Vixens! Participants can enrol in a full day or a half day session (morning or afternoon)*. Full day sessions are run from 9:00am – 3:00pm, and half day sessions are completed between either 9:00am-11:30am or 12:30pm-3:00pm.
Clinics are recommended for 8 – 15 year old boys and girls, and offer an opportunity to partake in some fun, meet new people, learn some new skills and be coached by some of the Melbourne Vixens

FAQ Clinic questions
Can I stay and watch my child participate?
Yes, we encourage you to stay for the clinic if you wish. If you cannot stay your child must be dropped off and collected from a designated point (venue dependent). Children will not be allowed to leave the venue without a guardian.
What should I wear/bring to the clinic?
Your sneakers and comfortable training gear….. be ready to be put through your paces. Bring a drink bottle and a snack. (Lunch as well if you are staying all day)
Will I be able to buy food on the day?
Yes, the Café will be open for all day clinics. You will be able to buy lunch, a drink or a snack. Remember to go for the healthy options to make sure you can perform at your best!
Who will be coaching at the clinic?
Different members of the Vixens team appear at the clinics throughout the year. We cannot confirm who will be attending prior to the day. As well as Vixens we have former Australian players, Victorian Fury players as well as some of Victoria’s finest coaches for each clinic.
I am a beginner, can I come along?
Our clinics are designed for all abilities for children between 8-15 years, boys and girls. Participants are grouped according to age, but we also manage our groups on the day to ensure that every participant gets the most out of the program.
Are the half day and full day sessions different?
Yes, we ensure that those involved all day participate in different activities throughout the day. We concentrate on netball specific skills. All participants half and full day will be involved in defence, attack and centre court activities as well as general netball skills. Full day participants will receive more in depth training in all areas. And yes, we definitely have match play for all!
Can I pay on the day?
NO! Get in quick as places are limited, we do not accept enrolments on the day. Your enrolment form and payment must be received by the Melbourne Vixens prior to the closing date to be considered for the clinic. You will receive a confirmation letter to notify of your acceptance into the clinic. We cannot hold places; entries will be processed on a first in best dressed basis.
