In January the team became recording artists for the day, undertaking a workshop with MusoMagic to produce the Vixens Official Club Song. MusoMagic, headed by former Chocolate Starfish front man Adam Thompson, led the team through a workshop to create the lyrics and melodies for the unique track. Having previously aided the Australian Swim Team to record “Watch us come alive” just prior to the Beijing Olympics, Adam was ready to tackle his latest elite team. 

Led to the State Netball Hockey Centre under the premise of a team exercise, all was suddenly revealed and despite initial trepidation, the girls all committed to giving it their all. Hours later after much debate, laughter, singing and dancing the lyrics to “We are the Vixens” were born. When you hear the track, listen hard for the voices of all your favourite Vixens, the players recorded their vocals for the track, with stunning solos from Sharelle as well as Caity and Renae. 

MusoMagic run workshops for a wide range of groups. Past music makers have included NBL and Rugby Union teams, corporate companies as Telstra, BP Australia, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Cadbury Schweppes, MLC and Leighton Contractors. Many secondary schools throughout Australia have also experienced this extraordinary program.
